For as long as I can remember I believed that healthy meant skinny. I worked out (mostly on the treadmill), but had unhealthy habits both physically and mentally that eventually caught up with me. On a whim I decided to do an 8-week Transformation Challenge at Class A after years of walking by the location on my way to the grocery store. I had never done strength training or kickboxing as part of my fitness regimen but immediately was hooked despite how insecure I felt the first couple of day.

Right away I felt at home with the other members and instructors. By the end of that challenge, my mindset had changed on what “healthy” meant. I felt strong and in the best place I had been (physically and mentally) in my whole life. Shortly after that I found out I was pregnant with my second child. Not only did I continue my journey until my 38th week, but I have been supported every single day since my daughter’s birth.

I feel so lucky to have finally found a gym that I look forward to waking up and going to every morning. I am thankful for each and every instructor and member that inspires me to be 1% better every day. This is truly my fitness family!!!
